Conferences
If you are seeking Tier 1 Continuing Education through a conference, it is up to the conference organizers whether to offer Tier 1 Continuing Education. If you are active in your state academy, ask the organizers of your state meeting to offer Tier 1 CE required for ABA recertification. Information on how to do so may be accessed here
If Tier 1 CE is being offered at a particular meeting, it should state that on the conference materials. AudiologyNOW! does offer Tier 1 Continuing Education. You must participate in the Academy's CE Registry and earn 80% or better on the self-assessment to earn Tier 1 CE through conferences.

Additionally, currently there are three convenient ways to earn Tier 1 hours wherever you are located:
1) Seminars in Hearing
2) e-Audiology
3) Ethics in Audiology (the "Green Book").
Seminars in Hearing
Seminars in Hearing is a thematic journal which allows the learner to complete self-assessments To count this learning activity towards Tier 1 CE, you must participate in one of the two major CE registries and earn 80% or better on the self-assessment.

e-Audiology
e-Audiology offers live and on demand seminars available from your desktop. Initially presented "live", the e-seminars are then available on demand. Several of these offerings offer Tier 1 Continuing Education. You must earn 80% or better on the self-assessment and participate in the Academy CE Registry to earn Tier 1 Continuing Education through e-Audiology. Visit the e-Audiology site for more information.
Ethics in Audiology:
Ethics in Audiology or the "Green Book" offers Tier 1 Continuing Education. This self-study also satisfies the ABA's three hour ethics requirement for recertification. You must earn 80% or better on the assessment to count towards Tier 1 and participate in the Academy CE Registry to earn Tier 1 CEs through Ethics in Audiology.
