Bettie Borton, Au.D.

Bettie Borton, Au.D., received a B.S. degree with CED certification in Education of the Deaf from the University of Texas, M.C.D. degree in Audiology from LSU Medical Center in New Orleans, and her doctoral degree in audiology from the University of Florida at Gainesville. She engaged in the practice of audiology in Alabama and Tennessee for many years, and worked in a variety of clinical settings including The Kirklin Clinic, UAB Medical Center, Birmingham. Dr. Borton is currently the owner and director of Doctors Hearing Clinic, a private practice in Montgomery, Alabama and also serves in an instructional capacity in the doctoral Audiology program at Auburn University Montgomery Speech and Hearing Clinic/Auburn University. She was a charter member of the Alabama Academy of Audiology, serving as its first President. Bettie was later elected to the Board of Governors for the American Board of Audiology (ABA), and currently serves as Chair.
