The ABA Board of Governors approved the following fee schedule for new applicants and renewing certificants for Board Certification, Cochlear Implant Specialty Certification and the Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification. For more information click here.ABA Certification Overview

Effective for all applications received on or after January 1, 2007, all audiologists must hold the doctorate to be eligible for Board Certification in Audiology.
Once all necessary materials have been received, your application will go before the Board at its next meeting. (The Board meets most months). Your application will not go before the Board if it is incomplete.
Once complete, it ordinarily takes 1-2 months to receive the Board’s decision on your application materials. The Board will consider requests for expedition in extraordinary circumstances such as the need to present certification for expedited licensure or when a position or promotion is contingent upon certification.
To sit for the Cochlear Implant (CI) Specialty Certification examination, you must either hold general ABA board certification or be eligible, and apply for and be granted ABA board certification prior to sitting for the CI examination. Please allow adequate time to process your application materials before sitting for the examination.
To sit for the Pediatric Audiology Specialty Certification (PASC) examination, you must hold a graduate degree in Audiology granted from a regionally accredited institution, have one year of post-degree full-time (2,000 hours) paid professional experience as an audiologist (550 of which must be in direct pediatric patient contact and 50 hours of pediatric case management), and two letters of professional reference.
